Thanks stinkboy, swampgas, et al for all of your help. Got it on the first try thanks to you guys. Took a grand total of about 1 minute or so.
Dealers suck. I can't believe they'd charge $87 to do that!!! Now I know why I installed my own spoiler and body kit....it was nice saving ~$1200 from those a$$holes.
Thanks again guys!!!!
Acura is telling me that plugging in a cell phone or simply placing one on the seat may cause the light to come on.
This is nuts - they want me to replace the OPDS pad for 400 bucks and they won't even be sure it won't come on again next time I drop my cell phone.

I was messing with adding lights under the dash and today the SRS and check engine lights came on. I did remove the memory seat fuse and I turned on the parking lights with the dimmer switch disconnected. After reading this thread it sounds like the SRS might be linked to this, but nothing about the engine light.
All I did was splice 2 lights into the parking lights from the front left.
Any ideas?

Yo... My SRS light has been on for about 3 months (for an unknown reason), and my car is due for a State Inspection at the end of this month so I decided its time to do something about it.
A week before I found this thread, I went out an bought a little OBD II hand scanner. I just tried it out today, and it tells me there are no codes active
So I am going to give this fix a try now and see what happens.
Anyone else have a OBD II hand scanner? Any idea why mine would show NO CODE? Its a Actron CP9125.
Thanks.

I am pretty sure I know why my SRS light is on. I disconnected the right rear tail light cluster harness just prior to finding the SRS light on. I dont know why Acura made changing a light bulb in the 2000 3.2TL into a form of torture. It did. Pushing trunk lining out of the way while drawing a bulb through a hole barely large enough for it to pass is what started my mess.
My rear marker light was not coming on. I found that out because somebody told me it was out. That element of the bulb was blown. When I originally replaced the bulb, I did not secure it firmly enough. The next drive I took showed a dashboard light telling me my brake light was out. The bulb had shaken loose. While trying to remove the bulb from the from the fixture, I slipped out of the socket and fell into the fixture. After much useless effort I removed the fixture in order to extract the bulb. I did not see that the wiring harness was not connected to the fixture. I mistakenly disconnected the wiring harness before removing the fixture.
Now to see if I can reset the SRS light without causing further damage. In one forum thread I reviewed, I found a response from someone who had a dealership do this. They set off the airbags. Fortunately, they restored the air bag system at their own expense.

Wouldn't you know it. The above link doesn't work and the pictures do not look like the content of my fuse box. The best pictoral I have as yet found was put on the web by someone who identifies himself as Josher@zworg.com. Good luck.
