Smile SRS Light Help Again...Sorry

Thank you all for your directions and instructions on how to reset the SRS light.

The red SRS light came on after clicking in my seat belt and it must have sent an code to the SRS module. I am passed my warranty period which sucks. The dealership wants me to change out the module for $$$$$.

I have located the Yellow module. I just want to make sure that it is the correct one. It should be since there are no other yellow modules that I can see.

I have a 2000 TL. The yellow module is attached by a green wire is located directly beneath the steering column. It has that special inter-locking clip which is a pain, but it is bearable.

I just want to make sure that I am working with the SRS module.

Thanks everyone for your help

wys- I would be asking for some `Goodwill`- a month or two after warranty extension--and it goes out
at least split the cost with you

usually SRS comes up when its a bad sensor in a seat belt bucket, had that in mine fixed under warranty. if its just a sensor, it should be very cheap, but if the whole module needs to be replaced that could be some big $$$. but I would get it done ASAP, its your safety we talking about. (would it suck if you are in accident and airbags dont open)

I have just reset the MES and everything is dandy.
The Acura dealership will not show me any goodwill because they know that I purchased a Lexus across the street from them. Sorry, I chose the RX over the MDX. I didn't know that the service managers from the two different dealerships know each other.

it takes the service MANAGER to call acura for any goodwill ~
ignore phone girls and service writers with negative comments on the subject
