Talking Squeaks&Rattles

Has anyone noticed? It seems like the guys who b*tch the most about problems with their car having squeaks&rattles are the ones who have the most modifications done! Really do you just have to change the needles on the tach? Is is so important that you have to have TLS gages on a TL? Just have to lower the car! I know individuality is a great asset but maybe we are paying the price for messing with a perfectly good new car. Think about it!! I know that there are some known issues with the paint, sunroof, and center console latch but some of the other problems just might be user induced.

I agree with both of you! Both squeaks and rattles on common problems that TLs have. What bugs me is that why should we experience these when the car is new. I understand if it is a couple of years old, but for a new car that cost over $31K is unacceptable.

Exactly... my 2001 has no modifications except having the windows tinted. But I had rattles even before then. But I can understand what you mean bout lowering the car, which would make it more bumpy which would make more rattles...

I don't have much experience with other brands, but Honda seems to have problem with this kind of little detail problem. I have 2 Accords before, they had the same rattling and squeaking problems. Any mods will only accelarate the problem, especially lowering down. Maybe it's the rubber/vinyl they use.

most rattles are not user induced. other than suspension noises i don't see anything that's related to being user induced. most squeaks and rattles are from the interior of the car before the driver does anything. So I disagree with you.

I have modifications to my car but none of them are performance and I still have rattles and squeaks in my car. Also, I agree that if you lower your car, you are going to have more rattles. Thats only because your car cant take potholes as smoothly.

Um, I think not. It's usually the guys with mods that are willing to fix the squeeks/rattles more often than not. Saying that will just get something started between guys that mod, and guys that don't.

guys look at it this way - thankfully your not driving a domestic, the squeaks and rattles would be 100 times worse.
