I've read that when selecting a new suspension for your car, you should try to match the springs and shocks for the best ride to handling characteristics. For those of you who have changed suspensions what combo’s are you running and what do you suggest? I’m looking for a lower stance, but a good ride. I’ve herd that new springs and shocks if the right ones will improve the ride and the lower stance will help with handling.

It depends on how drastic the drop is, and how stiff the spring is. If you put a stiff spring with a soft shock, you got problems.. The TL's Shocks are well damped and suit the Comptech spring nicely, because the comptech spring is only like 20% stiffer than stock. It isn't very necessary to change the shocks with springs in your TL's case, but to each his own..

I think that a lot of people have said that Comptech springs and Koni shocks are a good combo for the TL. I'm probably going to get the Comptech springs sometime soon, and wait a year or so when I feel the car needs new shocks. I was considering Eibach springs too, but they eventually settle to a 1.7" drop, which is too low for my tastes.
