SPRINGS HELP- asap please.

i was wondering if any of you guys could give me a quick answer.
i recently bought Pro Kit springs off a guy locally.
i gave my car and the springs to my Godfather to put on (he put them on saturday, and still has the car).
3 days later (today), he told my dad that it didnt lower much at all and they are basically the same height as the stock springs (side to side measurement).. and that they are just stiffer...
did i get duped for "fake Springs"??? do they even make fake springs?? can someone help me out asap, im getting a bit worried.. thanks

they were new.. they had the correct model number on the springs and everything...
but my godfather measured the stocks and the Pro kit springs next to each other and he said they measured about the same, shouldnt the loweing springs be shorter??
and they do make fakes???

even with settling, the initial look should be lower than stock. Especially with the prokit since it basically slams your car like over 2 inches I believe.

If it looks exactly stock after they were put on that seems a little IFFY, when i got my H and R's on, i could tell it was lowered right after, it lowered a little more after 2 weeks but it shouldnt look the same as stock after you put them on. Correct me if im wrong. The Eibachs lower even more also so I would think you should notice them at lot rite away. I dont recall springs staying stock lvl and then all of the sudden dropping.

you cant necessarily measure the springs side by side. you can only measure the actual car height before and a week or so after (to allow for settling) springs will be very close to the same size, its how much they compress to lower
did he you measure the car before and after

thing is... my Godfather still has my car so i cant see it, but he said it looks pretty much the same.
he said he drove it and it just feels "stiffer"
i called eibach and they said the springs are Pre-compressed already so when you drop it, its pretty mcuh what you get already and theres no "settling" time.. is this true with Eibach springs?
eibach also told me he may have tightened up the springs while it was on the lift, where all the tires "sag" down, and that you are supposed to torque the bolts while the weight of the car is rested down on teh springs.. is htis true?
well thanks!

retorquing the bolts withthe weight on the car wont lower it more.
as for the springs, they will settle with in a few days (but not very much) id recomend going and looking to see if it looks lower to you.
what was the spring rated at for lowering height?
the only aftermarket spring i would ever buy is H&R, but thats just me

^^ the springs are supposed to drop the front 2.1 and 1.6 in the back, which is not really a subtle drop at all and should be quite noticable...
any other help? he put the springs in on Saturday so its been 4 days.

best bet is to look at the car yourself.
