alright i been pulled over 3 times in the past for speeding but never got a ticket.

HOw do they issue the ticket, as in do they have to have that they used radar or laser to detect speed? Or is it just their word against mine?

Because i don't know past 6 months i've been real lucky or that K-40 was worth it.

How about if they see you going faster than everyone else and couldn't read ur speed? Do they just say ur speeding without proof and write u a ticket or what?

well the cop can definitely see if you were going faster than everyone else.....that's what he does for a living....as for proof?....

say you're on a 3 lane highway, and you're doing 80 in a 55 and there are cars all around you.....there's no way at all the cop's equipment can determine YOUR speed.....but he'll know and you will know that you were speeding....he'll just write you up an estimate....or he'll just write you up on any other illegal shit you have on the car.....

because you said you were on your street.....i'm assuming he passed you.....which would be he was close and knew you were speeding.....did your K40 go off at all??

 

just because you have a k40 doesnt mean he cant get you on radar. he can also time you, or pace you to get your speed

 

from experience, i know that state police in CT can just spot you going 5 mph over and give you a $100 ticket......:fingerfawk:....

 

Well you'd better knock on fake acura wood... cause your about to get a ticket one of these days! I got pulled over in late january doin 90 in a 50.... damn 40mph over the limit. I have to pay $243 bucks here by the 28th. damn!

 

how the hell did you do 90 in atl?? when i drove down there, the freakin traffic on 85 is HORRIBLE.. freakin if youre not on the HOV lane, than dont drive at all.. whoa. but i do know that in-town driving is MAD fun! you guys got WIDE open spaces to do whatever the hell you want.. as long as you watch out for those medians or whatever they are in the middle of the road. maann.. i thought NYC traffic was insane, but ATL is horrible. but thats because there's only one main entrance into the city. oyeah, and btw lenox is beautiful mannn haha

 

I don't know but when a police officer came to my criminal justice class she was telling us about how they catch people speeding. She said that they use things like radar and laser, BUT their judgement is important too. She said that she's seen several times when radar reported someones speed high, but when she looked at them they weren't going fast at all. She also mentioned that she can give a ticket for speeding by riding your ass and going at the same speed as you, and using the speedometer in the police cruiser to determine if you are speeding or not, but then again this could only be in NC.

 

see he turnd onto the street i was goin right and then he turnd on his radar right when he turnd that shit on my shit startin goin krazi and then the laser diffuser went off when he tried readin my speed. cuz it makes a distinct sound when the laser is shootin u. the cop had to make a u turn farrrr upp. so after the corner i kinda went a lil faster cuz mym house was RIGHT THERE. to see if he rilli was after me. i see him and i slow down even b4 he puts his lights on. and he was like its a verbal warnin. Also do they keep trrack of verbal warnings?


also there were no other cars to compare my speed with. just me goin that waybut i slowd down fasttt and the cop didn exactly say 54 mph he was like u were goin around 54 around there.

the other time that last cop was sayin i was goin around 70 too. never like U where goin 54 in a 40

 

3 time already when u r still 16....

generally i'd expect that this would be the time he drives more 'reckless' than later? my 'young' driving record (get pulled over and wreck into *) vs my 'current/older' record (luckier/safer) is like a night and day difference.

im not advocating or supporting it just stating that it makes sense.

 

i agree...but i dont drive wreckless like i used to..been drivin since 14. at least no accidents or movin violations

 

3 times and your out. Let the next be a ticket. Cops know when you been warned. Carefull kids. Next time can be your last time.
