The '03 A-Spec was only available in Canada. It has no performance enhancements over the '03 Type S.

It carries the following visual differences:

1. Standard OEM Body Kit
2. Only available in Nighthawk Black Pearl or Aegean Blue Pearl
3. Blue receives leather appointed blue seats and a blue steering wheel, I'm not 100% sure but I think the black models just had standard ebony interior.
4. Special A-Spec Rims
5. Standard A-Spec Door Sills
6. Blacked out headlights (ala '03 CL), and body colored outer-grill
7. JDM Style Spoiler with signals on each side of the spoiler

I think those were most of the differences, someone who has an A-Spec feel free to elaborate and provide pics

You also get

-Leather on the interior which is leather
-Titanium package on the inside which covers all the black area around the HU and the climate controls.
-Personalized leather jacket which is customized to your car (mine says catch me if you can).
-Body coloured head light trimmings. ABP has a body coloured headlight cover, and NBP also has its own black trim

...I think that's it?

I have the black Aspec and the interior is the same as the blue. Black with blue inlays. also the head lights match the colour of the car. And you get a special aspec leather jacket.

Can someone post some pic of A-Spec so I can just drool over it?
We don't see it here in US. Well, at least not around where I live (Georgia).

the only way you can get an A-Spec spoiler is if yuo have an A-Spec car. i believe you have to have the VIN handy as well. many have tried to get parts this way and unfortunately they aint cheap either. good luck though!

Hi the trim kit was originally around $760 CAD.
But my dealer got me a deal and I got it for free..

I believe they sell it seperately in any dealer.

Yup! Thats the response I received from numerous email responses from Acura dealers across Canada. They are a special order piece and the A-spec wing can be had for: :drumroll:

994.25 CAD / 730.20 USD :cymbal crash:

A pricey piece indeed! The price quote came from Camco Acura.

I really like the A-spec interior and headlights but the rims I don't like at all. I think the car looks good with or without the bodykit. The spoiler is cool but again for the money spent extra you can do many of those things yourself (rims, kit, etc). Obviously there are some things you can't get like the spoiler, headlights, etc.

i agree w/ u on the rims, they look like Oddyssey rims. you can always black/blue out ur headlights by urself and clear them while ur at it.

Why the hell would they only sell the A-Spec in Canada? I don't understand... damn I envy the aluminum decoration, the blue with black interior, and that awesome spoiler!

yeah i know the feelin', if an A-Spec was available, id really jump on it, and then switchout the rims. but it sucks that now on the 3rd Gen, anyone can have an "a-spec". it kinda ruins the feeling of gettin an a-spec. i like how they only made 800 a year, and they should have kept to that.

One of the nasty habit from Honda/Acura is that the special edition version (in this case the 2nd gen A-spec) is always being released on the final year of the model cycle. Once the next generation model being released, the 1-year old car will become outdate and the value will depreciate real fast.
