Sounds like a bad ignition switch.

Try putting the key in the ON position, and wiggling back and forth, as if you were going to start the car, but don't quite go all the way to the START position. If the dash lights flicker, you have a bad ignition switch.

Im going for:
get the battery tested! When you start the car it takes a huge amount of juice, then the alternator needs to be turning at cruising speed 15 minutes to recharge the battery full
If the battery was weak and you used it, didnt get to recharge -then a few minutes later asked it to do it again--click click click

Charge the battery up at home then drive an hour cruise to fully charge it
If no charger at home, remove battery and take to parts store for a free charge and testing
Using a jumper battery/cables and expecting the alternator to recharge a fully dead battery is going to shorten the alts life- it was meant to top off/ in use-recharge, not fully dead recharge
Take to parts store for a free test of the system

I havent heard of any 00+ having switch issues. If its Clicking i dont think its a ignition. It sounds like a battery or starter issue.

If your battery is the original acura one with 4-5 years on it- you did really well

Most batteries these days- in the hot, tight, low cooling airflow engine compartments are lucky to go 3,,, maybe 4 years

Proper cable and terminal end maitenance help, but cant overcome physics

Check BOTH ends of each batt. cable for tightness and corrosion. Def. get it charged & load tested. If it was the orig. Acura batt. it would be 9+ yrs. old- very unlikely.

^You can't take the key out if it's in drive.

sounds like starter to me.

you can always bypass the starter/cylinoid? by taking two screwdrivers and touching both bolts on the starter and touching them together. it got me out of a sticky situation a couple times in my car.

sounds wierd when i explain it lol but its really easy.

When u were jumpstarting, what car did u jump start it with, if it has a smaller engine and if your battery is pretty dead then sometimes you have to leave the jumper cables attached for like 10 min. Just making sure u jump started it correctly

the FIRST thing you should check in this situation is the age and condition of the battery
Does it hold a charge, stand up under load and at 13.8 volts?

Anything past that,, is pure guesstimacationing~
and should be left to the parts store with a machine to test the system for you
