last friday (august 7th) i ordered the full lip kit for my car off of race appeal kits. so its already thursday and i still havent received a tracking number or anything. money was withdrawn from account instantly via paypal. i have a receipt and everything.

i know some of u guys ordered and have race appeal kit lip kits on ur cars. was it the same thing for u? how long did it take to receive a tracking number?

let me know plz. its 385 hard earned dollars for me that i dont wanna lose

already sent an email to them. thats the only way to contact them apparently. i told them that i bought the lip kit a week ago and im still waiting for a tracking number. it also says that i gotta wait about 4 business days till i get a tracking number but tomorrow is the 5th official business day. im gonna be patient but if i dont have that lip kit by next week, something is up and im gonna have to file some type of dispute via paypal

Sounds like they have to order the kit from the maker- very common to do that and have it sent to you- never touches their hands--cheaper that way for them
its called Drop Shipping...4 day- 5 days--it will ship when they process paperwork

When you write the seller include the sale date, item number/description and paypal receipt number- very easy to backtrack with that info

Once the item is actually on a truck a real tracking number is issued

Better than some services that print a tracking number when the order to pick up is sent, could be hours or days before it really leaves the store

 

so its friday and still no word. this is really weird already.

 

It takes them a 1 week to 2 weeks for them to ship out. They gotta make it.....

fuck this i dont trust shit. called paypal and filed a dispute. raceappealkits has 10 days to give me a tracking number or i get my money back. simple as that. there is no way that a week passes by and i hear nothing even after sending 2 emails.

well they should atleast respond to my emails and tell me this. i really hope i get my money back actually. i can get side skirts and rear lip for 150 right now. guy lives 10 minutes from me. i can even get his front lip but its kinda cracked.

If the seller isn't a scam, it won't disappear into nowhere after the paypal payment has gone through. Simply one reply email telling the buyer what the hack is going on with his order, is sufficient to defuse this ordering problem.

Everybody knows processing and shipping takes time. However, not answering phone calls and not replying emails are typical signs of a bloody scam artist.

 

u have to chill out. it took 10days to make my cf hood, and 5 days to ship it. large packages take time. especially if they have to make it

Those who order JDM stuff wait 2-3 months for it to arrive from Japan and never complain,,thats just the way it is.

In this case- where other ziners had to wait while their part was being made by same person, thats a bonus to get something made just for you - instead of one off the shelf

 

i think it's a legit company as i've heard about them before. i know it sounds like a long time, but i would've waited it out. too late now...

 

hmm, usually big orders will take a couple days if not a week or so to process and get a tracking number out

I'm not getting pissy or anything. A week went by with no reply to my emails. Something is up so I want my money or a tracking number already. Simple as that.

 

it usually takes a lil while to ship...but they deff should have responded to your emails...300 dollar order or not...thats not customer service at all..i did once however have the same situation...i ordered a part for my car from somewhere and 3 weeks went by with no tracking...no emails responded...nothing shipped...they then got back to me to tell me they were all on vacation due to the chinese new year..i was pretty pissed...they should have had people filling in at least..keep us updated..i was planning on ordering from them too

 

You need to calm down dude. It took about 3 weeks for my kit to come in, on my other car. You need to give it time. You are freakin out!

 

Lmao trust me I'm calm. Like I've said, it's already been more then a week and still no response. I'd rather just play it safe and have a claim that assures I get my money back. It's a win win for me. I either get a tracking number by this week, or I get my money back.

better go stock up on fiberglass resin and bondo if you're planning on lowering the car

i dont get worked up over big packages like that unless it acutally says you'll get your confirmation email and tracking within 48 hours or something.

like some said... its fiberglass.. it may need to be molded... you jumped the gun IMO

got my money back =). 10 days but got full refund. now im getting the oem lip kit locally this weekend. worked out a lot better this way

prolly getting some 19's as well. bronze to go along with FPR

When a seller (whether it's a shop or an individual) doesn't release a tracking number, doesn't return your calls nor emails, 99% chance it's a scam.

 

didnt think it would be a scam since ppl on this website have bought the kit. w/e. already have the lip kit. dropping it off tomorrow to fix some scratches and paint it. will be on some time during this week along with the roof spoiler

That weird after only 10 days later you get your money back that quick. I'm Paypal Vendor an I know (We) have 30day to get the product out before a refund or a dispute can be file for your money back.

But anyway, I'm glad you got your money back an you found better deal locally.

 

i called and spoke to a rep. he said that if they didnt respond during the 10 day period, i would get my money back. i waited and i got it. i read about the 30 day thing online so i decided to call. instead of going through a longer process, the rep had made it into a claim. im guessing that cut the time.

important thing is that i got the lip kit locally, already left it at the shop and its being installed on tuesday. finally.

Well idk if you will get it or not, but you don't have to worry though that's for sure. I'm a 4 year PayPal member, I know everything about them and I can tell you for sure if you don't get your lip kit open up a dispute on PayPal and within a month or so you'll get your money back.

 

Hm... raceappealkits.. anybody know if this company is legit? I'm planning to also get the full OEM Lip Kit in the future.

i dont suggest anyone buy from that site anymore. seems to me that the person doesnt check the website anymore if theyre not responding to paypal disputes.

 

meh I have the kit, it took them 2 weeks to ship out, and a week to get to my house. I didnt trip, and time flew by quickly.
