Take your time...make sure to keep everything wet and clean..including your fingers! If you have a tough time getting the tint to contour to the light you can heat it slightly with a hair dryer..just be light with it. Good luck

mine were painted with black clear coat..the clear was taped off while the taillights were out of the car and then sprayed..i think thats one reason why mine look so good is cause it was paint. i was at an acura dealership and was looking at it done to a honda accord with my wheels on there actually and the owner worked at acura and said for 50 bucks he would do it for me he just needed to pop em out haha so i got lucky as hell

Well I failed with one of the tail.. Was doing great.. had the first one done perfectly.. then the second one towards the end I was getting really impatient and heatet the damn tint too much... Now it's fucked up .. So I just took the tint off both of them

I guess it's time to pay up for some one to do it

I would love to paint mine.. but here in Cali, I'd much rather use tint.. that way, when I get a fix it ticket for them, I just take the tint off, go to court, and then put them back on for cheap... rather than having to get another set.... But yeah, the shine on painted is soooo nice!!

i dont see how you could get a ticket if your lights shine through jjust the same without it..but i have heard cali is a little more strict than most places..seems thats where i hear about most of the lame laws

=D I had my Accord lights painted as well. Tails, corners, and bumper lenses. Guy just put a few tablesppons of black into some clear and voila! beautiful. Now I need him to paint the tails on my TL and color match my spoiler.
(If anyone needs a spoiler, Magautoparts on ebay is selling genuine Acura spoilers for cheap!) I bought a brand new, still in box, for 69.99+30 for shipping+tax. Sorry off topic.

Yeah, I got a fix it ticket for having tints up front... but theyre 35% and you can see fine right in at night.. He pulled me over when it was like 100* out and the damn sun is shining right through the windows!!!! His "partner" said I wouldn't get a ticket for it.. but the other douche still gave me the damn shit..

Oh, and I've been pulled over for my yellow fogs too

i think it depends on what color your car is, and which lights you have....also, if you leave your badges on, the tinted bottom and white top, accent those and make a sexy ass-end

wow to me thats ridiculous. cause i have 5% on my windows with black leather. Black taillights. and i never get fucked with. Georgia State Troopers love the tint but i rarely see them on small roads vs the highway so i get lucky i guess

^ check out rvinyl

rvinyl.com

I used that VHT paint once, worked fine just takes a lot more time. and the second time I did it I used an rvinyl kit cost me like 10 bucks.

pretty easy to apply

I took it off btw. in the end I just liked the way it looked stock. and I have the amber tails...
