the up button on my sideview mirror controls doesn't work... i'm wondering if i have any type of corrosion on the contacts or whatnot. the up function does not work on either the left or the right mirror so i know it has something to do with the contacts or the wiring. how do i take that plastic bezel off to get under the buttons? do i pry it open with a flathead screwdriver where behind the window controls?? thanks in advance for your time

 

It could be a blown fuse; this is a common problem with the TL. If the fuse is blown the windshield washer sprayers won't work either and then you will know for sure. If it turns out that it is a bad fuse, just replace it with one large. I think the car comes with a 5amp but Acuras fix is a 10 amp. Dealer covered this issue under warranty and this larger fuse won't void any warranty. Maybe that isn't it at all, just a thought.

 

i don't think that is the issue. everything else works, (including the sprayers)

all of the other buttons work but the up button, i've had this issue since i've had the car...

however i will keep the blown fuse in mind and check them all. when i go to work on it today.

any other ideas?

 

I can't think of anything else, wish some more people would respond to your question, I want to know the answer. Under warranty?
