Should I get the 6000k D2R or D2S bulbs?

I am ordering the philips 6000k bulbs and want to know which one would look better. I know the d2r is for our cars and d2s is for projectors. But looking at the car head on which one would be brighter? In other words, which one would annoy the driver driving infront of me? lol Just want the brightest ones. If any one got some pics. POST EM UP!!.

P.S. Any one got instructions on what to modify to make the D2S fit in our cars? Thanks

d2s bulbs output a slightly higher amount of lumens. I believe that you are confusing glare with maximal output though. The brightest bulb you can get is oem 4300K. The 6000K may appear brighter due to the bluer output, but it has less output than stock.

Just get the D2R, cuz the D2S will have to be modified a little and plus, the whole idea of it giving off more light, is bull shit. I have D2S, and trust me no difference. Atleast with the D2R the light will stay and go where its suppose to, plus no modification required. IMO the whole concept of D2S giving more light is not accurate.

"the technical sheets from Osram and Philips and GE all show that the D2R is registered at 2800 lumens while the D2S is registered at 3200 lumens and these all have standard deviations of +/- 400 lumens i believe."

unless you have a light meter in your eyes, I dont see how you can justify that there is no difference in output between bulbs.

D2S are for projectors, which our car does not have.

Get D2S...

Take a dremel tool to one of the bumps on the D2S bulb and it should fit perfectly..

I've been in 3 TL's... 2 of them having D2R 6000K and the other one being mine equipped with D2S 6000K. And visibly I dont see a dam difference, so maybe using a some fancy smancy meter the D2S can put a whole 400 extra Lumens but to the naked eye, which is what I'm going to go by, its dont mean squat.

The D2S bulbs are meant for Projector based headlamps, where the projector throws the light on the road in the right places. With ours, we need the Reflective type or the D2R's, cuz our headlights can't do that good of a job in putting the light where it belongs, so the extra reflective sheild/plate on the bulb takes care of that.

I have the D2S and that is why Im saying, that to me ... it doesnt make a difference, at all. I guess other peopel might feel different.

I thought the 6000k was bluer in tint. Those look close to the oem color. Personally thats what I am looking for, but getting a little confused. They look tight though.

Yes they are but its hard to catch that color on a camera, because if you take a pic of your stock hids, they dont even look like hids, they look yellowish. Its just hard to get the color on a picture. Someone had a pic of the 2 tl's next to each other one was stock the other had 6000k's thats the one i wannaa seeee,,, i saw it long time ago,,, post more PICSSS!! hehe thanks

p.s. I've made my choice and im going with the D2R's
