ive been using stock shocks with eibach springs for nearly 3 yrs. the stock ones give an ok ride and i totally forgot about about needing to change the shocks. anyway, do i NEED to buy new shocks and if so, would it be possible for me to soften the ride over what its like now? which ones would i need to get. please, educate me on this issue.

thankx

i have ground control coilovers on my old accord and its been like over 3 years and till this day its not bad of a ride
on my tl . . . i only had my springs for half a year and my shocks went out couple months after the installation . . . it just depends on the height of your drop i guess . . . my tl has drop pass 3 inch

Since the Eibach's give you a drop of 2.1 which is on the higher side, you've lost that much wheel travel before you bottom out. The Eibach's are also progressive springs so they stiffen up real quick in a short range. If you want to keep the look and are trying to get a softer ride, you may want to get some adjustable struts (like Tokico or Koni) so you can play with the firmness.

The Tokico Illuminas are 5 way adjustables. That's what I'm running - currently on 3. I'm probably goining to try 2 on the rear this weekend. 1 is the softest.
