Shocks
I have a 2002 TL-P with 36,000 miles. I have just noticed that the left front shock is squeeking when it is doing its job. I have never had to replace any shocks to my Hondas @ this mileage. My warranty is just up and I am thinking $$$$. Anyone had this problem and what did you do? I will be going to the dealer to get this covered under warranty, even though its just passed. I will be an ass and get my way for this.

just be persistent.....a 2002 model should not need new shocks. Are you lowered? You might have some problems if you are, they are gonna site your lowering springs as the reason the shock blew.......just to warn you

It could be from the bump stop or bushing? It happened to me when I had Koni on my 92 Accord. The bump stop was making squeaking noise. As long as the shock works and has no leakage. I wouldn't bother. Unless you're looking for excuse to go with Koni

Just an update, I took my car into the dealer today for the squeeky shock and it was found to be a faulty lower ball joint which Acura will cover under warranty.

Sorry to bring this up again... But I went to woodbine a week ago and this was the exact same issue. They ordered 2 lower ball joints... and will call me when they come in.
Funny thing is I'm a week away from putting the CompTech Springs (and woodbine will be doing the install) ... so I asked "what if I had them on and the ball joints go".. they said "They would not do it under warranty"... Now I'm not sure about the springs...AHHHHHH!!!!
I want the springs but now I know for sure that the ball joints can go and it has nothing to do with adding aftermarket springs.

The two front ball joints in my TLS were replaced last month. At first, they cleaned them out and relubed them. After a few days the squeek came back and they replaced them the second time. The service rep told me that they have been replacing them on MANY TLs. Hmm.....

Cobrax420,
He's from Toronto Canada... warranty here for TL is 3 year or 60,000kms == 37,282.2715342 mile.
I always wonder why in the US TL's you guys get more warranty ? Its the same car ? So far Acura is the only one I know who is doing this. Infiniti, Lexus, MB, BMW are all 4yr/80,000kms

Just so everyone knows that this is definitely a common issue, the ball joints on my 02 TL are being replaced as I write this. It's being covered under warranty.

"Are there any brand with external adjustable shocks unlike Koni? Because there's no easy access to the rear shock tower, Koni is too much trouble to tune the ride."
You could get Tokico Blue's. But adjustability isn't only useful for frequent adjusting. It helps to be able to get them right the first time and just leave them.
