Shock sensor for headlights

I just went to the NJ Park Avenue website (www.parkaveacura.com) and they now offer shock senors for the headlights and also for the rest of your car. They said it work w/the OEM alarm w/same remote. It's $159.95 plus tax to get it installed. I'm thinking about getting this done.

The link http://www.parkaveacura.com/comptech/

If someone from Park Ave could comment on the sensors here that would be great. I would drive up there to have them installed.

No, the factory alarm doesn't have a shock sensor. It only sounds if the doors are opened without the use of the remote or key..If the window is broken the alarm doesn't even sound...Click here to see the link to the shock sensor.. I'm in for it too.. i'm trying to call them BUT THE FRIKKIN PHONE'S ARE DOWN!!!!!!!

If someone tamper w/your headlights, the alarm will go off. They will also put senors around your car. Like if someone hits your window or your car, it will go off too.

Yah, any audio shop that does alarms will do it. Just ask them to install shock sensor w/your factory alarm. I heard its an easy install to do. I'm gonna try it out this weekend.

yes! mine works for the entire car as well. you can hit my car at let say the trunk it'll set off the sensor. you can tap the headlights and it'll go off. and if people want all you have to do is just add another one. (10 dollars) if you REALLY parinoed then just use a motion sensor so if the car is jacked up or any slight movement it'll trigger the alarm. or use a proximity sensor so if someone comes by the car too close it'll go off. And yes any performance shop will install it. Just tell them to tap the yellow wire w/ silver dots to the trigger wire on the sensor and hook up the neg to any ground and positive to the 2nd male prong behind the fuse box w/ a female prong. This is a simple 1 wire tap. not that hard to do. PhiTL watched me do it to his car in less than 10 min. 5 min to make everything look neat by cutting electrical tape and hiding all the cables and 3 min to tap the wire and 2 min to put everything back(fuse box cover).

What, a thank you isnt enough By the way, If i want to put another shock senor on, do I just splice the wires from the 1st shock sensor that was installed? Did you install two sensors? Thanks again!

If you're near me, I would pay you to install two shock sensors on my car.

Nova,
Ok, you left the sensor underneath the dash. But will the alarm go off when someone is messing with the lights and hood?

I sold my TL before I could put a lot of stuff into it. I bought a shock sensor for it for $30. It looks exactly like the one in the install page instructions. 3 wire, red, black, and green. If anyone wants it for $20 plus shipping I will sell it to them. Just drop me an email at anant369@hotmail.com

HELP

I got almost everything done, except I can't find the yellow wire he NOVA is talking about. There are so many yellow wires! The sensor lights up, but it doesn't trigger the alarm. I think I'm gonna give up, unless someone could help me.

Well, I gave up and went to an audio store. They said that my DEI dual shock sensor will not work w/my factory alarm. They said I need to order something else. I kept arguing w/him , but he said it won't work. Is he right? Is there anyone who can help me? Thanks
