Question blinker question

Hey everyone. I am going to change the amber bulbs in the blinker tomorrow. I bought some blue bulbs. Will you be able to see the blue atleast a little through the yellow reflector on the side? Also from the front, will the reflector make the blue light look yellow? I don't want to remove the reflector and I was thinking it would be good enough just to replace the bulbs. Thanks for any info

huh?

From the front, the bulb will still be blueish..

If you look closely at your signal housing, there is a hole from where the reflector is to the bulb..

This is where the light shines through to the reflector...

But I still don't know what you mean.. Are you trying to get the cleared look? Or just a blueish light in front??
btw, blue flashing lights in the front are illegal..

I just wanted to know what it will look like from the side if I just put the blue bulbs in there-to replace the amber ones. Have you seen anyone do this? If a blue light is shining on the reflector, it will be sort of a blue tint on the side right?

Are your "blue bulbs" actually some type of hyperwhite? Normally, they will look blue when off but emit white when on. From the front, it will look white when blinking but from the side, it will look a bright amber as you've left the amber reflector in place. I believe in the states, it is alright to have white blinkers in front so anything besides amber or white, is illegal.

It'll look orange from the side where there is the orange reflector. It'll look white head on.

No they are not hyper white, they are super bright premium colored bulbs. If the blue is illegal, can I paint them silver or anything? I really want it to look blue from the front though, thats why I'm asking does anyone know if red is illegal in the front?

Blue is definitely illegal because they're reserved for police and other emergency vehicles. I think someone on this board got ticketed for having blue leds on his windshield fluid nozzles.
