its not the tranny. some have had this prob in the past.
there could be acouple problems. one might be in the mechanisim that tells it that the brake has been applied to allow it out of park, one may be in the steering column saying that the car has been started, or it may be gumed up on the mechanisim that allows holds it in park until one of the other 2 have been done. have you spilled any thing recently on the centerconsole like soda?

Check the fuses for your rear brakes. In fact check em all. A blown fuse may keep the car locked in Park. It wont allow the safety switch to activate, and let the car out of park. Even though your foot is on the brake, the car cant tell.

Do your stop lights light up when you step on the brake?

open your hood, go to the fuse box there, check the Lighting Area 2, fuse '20', and replace it.

(if your horn doesnt work than the above is a definite solution as well)

shifter stuck

My horn and brake lights both went out and now the shifter dosenst work.

I looked in the manual for the fuse and coudlnt find one for the horn or brakes.

Is the fuse box under the hood or under the dash for the blown fuse?

thanks
