Did anyones car come with a cover over the Transmission Shift Lock Release slot? The manual says there is supposed to be one there but my car never had one since new.

 

You should have gotten one. The dealerships do not put them on until the car is sold and goes through dealer prep. Go back to the dealer and get one..........

 

Shoot, that's what I thought. I'll give the dealer a shot but it is probablty too late now.

I didn't have one on mine when I picked up my car, but I ended up finding it in the center console ... I forget if it was in the upper or lower console area, but it was there ... I almost threw it out thinking it was junk until I realized that it fit right on top of that hole in the shifter

 

There's no reason for a dealer to take that out in the first place.

 

I don't think the car is delivered to the dealership with it installed.......

 

dealer should be more than glad to give you one from their other cars ......... otherwise walk in and sit in a showroom car and pop one off before a salesman comes over hehe ... seriously ... they should give you one (total cost to dealer = 1/2 cent)
