Serious issues after repairs... advice/input needed
Hey all - As most of you know, I finally got my car back from the body shop. Well, I noticed my cooling fan coming on after I shut off the car, and I searched, and found that it was normal under some conditions. Well, the radiator overfill thing is maxxed out and fluid seems to be spilling out, but I was like, ok... thats no big deal. Well... when I was pulling in my parking spot I noticed that the temp guage was up to hot, and then I shut off the car, and restarted it a minute later and it was normal... what the hell is going on???
Oh - and I'm having insurance put in a new CD player in my car (I'm tired of that stupid 99 head unit not playing my CDs so I just said it was damaged in the accident, and I'm going ahead and having them put in the 02-03 6 disc in dash. I need to know for certain that it works though. Just simply plug and play.
Thanks ya'll!!!

check to make sure there is enough pressure on your radiator cap. If they switched the radiator, they should have put on a new cap, but considering they've overfilled your overflow tank they may not have. Old/damaged radiator caps don't hold pressure and can cause overheating.
you may also need a new thermostat...especailly if the car ha overheated; they can stick.
btw, have your shop drain the excess antifreeze from the overflow tank...it's not supposed to be filled up so your radiator can dump fluid to it when it's hot...plus, the stuff slipping out is getting all over your engine and paint and leaking into the enviornment...not good stuff.
