seats

hey are the wire harness on the 01 and up tl different from the 99? cause today when i was putting in my black door panels from a 01 and like some of the harness off my 99 didnt fit into the o1 panels. i had to switch up some of the switches. and the ones that did fit didnt work right. im asking this to see if i need to cut the wiring harness from the 01 and rewire it to my 99. and is there any way to wire up the memory seats cause i got the driver side door from a 03 and it has memory seat buttons

u cant use the memory buttons on your 99 bc i believe its tied in with the ecu to remember your seat position. not sure it its the same deal here but, ive sold some 03tl seats to a member here with a 2000 tl and the seats didnt want to move, he had to manually move them. something to do with the connections being diff, but the pluged in. they might be wired differently

99s are teh red headed step child's.

The memory buttons wont work. The car isnt wired for it. There is a a control unit in the seat along with being tied into the ECU for it to work properly.
Im not sure if the airbags will plug in or not but i do know its possible to get them to work as others have in the past
