Question Seatbelt and Airbag Replacement 03 TL

Hey guys, I'm new here and I was wondering if you have to replace the airbags and seat belts at the same time after a collision. I got into a wreck in 2015, and ever since, the seat belts won't budge. Both airbags have to be replaced, but I was wondering if I just popped on new seatbelt assemblies and didn't replace the airbag if the seatbelts would start working again. I'd rather not replace them at the same time if I don't have to. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Oh and again, it's a 2003 TL. Thanks again.

You can replace just the seatbelts, and they will work.

The airbags won't work until you replace both the airbags and the SRS unit. I'm assuming your SRS light has been on since the accident?

Thanks for the response. That's correct. If I understand correctly, the impact sensors would need to be replaced too for the airbags to deploy in the case of another accident, right? I'm also missing half my bumper, so if that's the case, I think I'll just replace the bumper first.

So, how do you wear your seat belt?

reminds me of Kanye's "Through the wire"
"IF you could feel how my face felt, you would know how mace felt
Thank God, I aint too cool for the safe belt"

To answer all of your questions, I was referring to replacing the bumper over the airbag.

As far as replacing my seat belts, it's clear that's what I'm trying to do. I'm new here and to car repairs, hence the reason I asked the question. As for how I wear a seat belt, I don't. Plain and simple.

Ah OK. Good luck man! Personally I wouldn't drive my car at all without seat belts.

I'd say you could get almost all of these parts from a car at the salvage yard. Shouldn't be hard to find a TL with a great body and a blown trans at one of 'em
