Seat warmers

With Winter almost here I have been using my seat warmers in the mornings, however, the upper portion (seat back) of the driver side does not get hot like the bottom section. I know the passenger side has no seat back warmer, but I seem to remember using the heated seats after long volleyball tournaments early in the summer. Am I wrong or is my seat warmer broken?????

Manual says that due to the side airbags, the seatbacks are not heated.

goaub it is the passenger seat that the back portion does not heat. The drivers side the bottom & back portion will heat -up. The back & bottom portion should get about the same TEMP. When the heaters are set on the HIGH position the heat will cycle on & off. When its set on the LOW position it will stay the same TEMP. I know that Iam having problems with mine as I posted before. The drivers seat bottom is not heating up but the back is heating as normal. I have not haad the chance to take it to the dealership for warranty repair.

Since both seats have the side airbag, I wonder why only the passenger's seatback doesn't heat up?

Maybe it has to do with the sensor that shuts off the passenger side airbag.

I think you might be correct on that.

Folks, I know it is in this forum but I'll be damned if I can find it. I have a '99 TL and need to repair the heater in the seats. I remember seeing a great thread on how to repair the wiring in the seat for about $3. It included some great pictures and tips on how to get the seat covering off.

If anyone remembers seeing it or could send me the link I would appreciate it. Thanks,
