Seat belt issue
I have noticed something about the driver's seat belt that I don't like. When I am leaving the car and disconnect my belt, I normally let go of it and let it retract by itself. What I've noticed is before the belt sits in it's resting position, it tends to slam on the inside panel just behind the window. As a result, this area is getting really dinged up good. I must remind myself to gently lead the belt to its resting position. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe I just need to readjust the belt height?

Hmm....dont take this the wrong way, but whenever I enter/leave my car I tend to scuff up the bottom door panel with my shoes. Does that mean that its a door panel issue? Or do I have to just lift my leg a lil bit higher?

Lot's of smart answers here, but you do have to be careful. I let it happen the first time I got out of the car and it dinged the interior. Now I just put the belt where it belongs. Why the heck I'm up at this time of night reading this forum I will never know!

I had a '99 3.2TL and I find the seat belt in the new '02 3.2TL-S much more comfortable. The '99 just always was to tight and hit me right in the BIG rib bone near the right side of mid-stomach, whatever that bone might be called. I could NEVER really get the seat belt comfortable and all I could do to ease it up a bit was to flip it inside out so there was twist in it. I know this sounds strange and I did ask Acura service about it and they said it was OK. I still think the fabric in that particular seat belt was much thicker and tighter than usual thereby causing the problem. Well, it's no more a problem because the TL-S feels just fine, and I am pleased
btw: I never have had any problems taking off either the '99 or '02 seat belts; never slammed around on me.
