Yea if you have a question related to your tl go to the tl section.

Also fiy if this is your first time doing any cleaning internally at 192,xxx it wont make a difference at all. I did it for the first time at like 160,xxx and i never noticed a difference. THe buildup is probably to strong for the seafoam to break it down now. I think at least.

if you didnt get results from seafoam: you did it totally wrong somehow!

gas tank method for noobs; 1 can/16 ounces seafoam to 8 gallons/just under half tank gas. Drive normal
refill when low and drive normal
when at half tank- add 1 can to gas

thats done almost everything for injection and combuston cleaning.
Now remove the rubber tube from air filter to engine and spray carb cleaner at the round plate inside- get both front back and edges

Seafoam will instantly dissolve sludge and carbon,,which every engine has in it
There is no such thing as too many miles or too much buildup for it to work

Higher miles,, I would for sure do the oil- 1/2 can in oil and drive 30 minutes
change oil and filter with fluid warm

our diy that says for 03 is the best one and applies to all years

Yeah, you're right. Seafoam is poisonous to horses.

A thread started in ramblings or car talk usually generated MUCH more action. This one is slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Can testify to the carbon build-up issue. Had my SHO motor apart with 60K on it and I was shocked at the level of carbon that was everywhere. Valves, top of the cylinder head, etc. I used top-tier gas and lovingly cared for my car but you could scrape this shit like you were cleaning a BBQ.

blame E10 gas for lower combustabilty = extra residue

Finally, someone who tore a motor apart and can report!!
