Thumbs up SC430 vs TLS Results are in!

And the winner is . . . . RUF

I'll post the time slips as soon as I get someone to scan them in. And the video will be posted later by someone else.

We raced twice because he wanted a rematch, but well see for yourself.

1st Run:

SC430.................TLS
14.791................14.681
96.31MPH............93.65MPH

Straight Time Difference
.0952 , so less than 1-tenth of a second.

Finish line advantage - 3/4 car length.

2nd Run:

SC430..................TLS
14.988.................14.704
95.35...................93.60

Straight time difference
.7517 , 3/4s of a second

Finish line advantage - about 3 car lengths (just a little over 3)

Yea but doesn't the SC430 also have a V8 4.3 liter engine that produces 300 hp and 320 tq?

Yes, it's definately a fast car, but because of its weight it is a bit slower off the line and that's where I beat him. He was closing on me at the big end.

You are lucky you didn't go any further. Judging by his trap speed, he was closing in on you pretty good.

He was closing, I could see him creeping up on me. He would have been right next to around 100-105MPH. Maybe 110 at best.

From what I hear, with headers I would hold him off much longer.

Stay tuned for the next challenge. Any suggestions? There's a battle over G35s. I think I can take them too, but I'll have to improve my launch and nail those R/Ts.

I agree... it may be slow.. but it's the equivalent of "soft spread" in the auto industry .. smooth and sweet.

The SC430 is a damn fine machine. May not be that fast but it sure looks sexy!

Actually, the SC430 is technically faster than the stock Type-S, but not that much faster which makes it a drivers race.

It also comes down the the variable of each car as they will have variances themselves, and how you break them in.

On the looks side, I didn't like them much at first, but after sitting in the guys car and even pulling it up in the staging area, it fits like a glove and is from a quality basis is far ahead of the Type-S. Unfortunately.

I would've never thought we could beat a SC430, but like the others I would take that Lex any day over my AC, but I do love my baby.

The guy that shot the video has been working overtime and sick on top of it.

He says he himself hasn't even seen it yet.

And yes, I'm dying to see it myself.
