S2000 HID Head Lights

Hey just wondering, the Honda S2000 headlights seems to be more blue then the TLs. Is this true? If so can we use those in the TLs? or is it cheaper to buy 6000k HIDs from a aftermarket place.

I think S2000 looks a bit more brighter because it's projector?

I think the reason why S2000 lights look better than ours is because they have projector lenses.

okay I see, cuz I saw a S2000 downtown Toronto and it was very blue, and I was watching a movie where Jennifer Love Hweitte (spelling) was driving a S2000 and it was very blue. oh well, guess I'll just wait and grab some 6000K bulbs.

Yes, it is b/c they are projector headlights. I just got some BMW X5 HID Projector headlights and took out the projectors, bulbs, and ballasts and I am going to mount them into my Halogen housings on my 92 Acura Legend. I will have OEM beam pattern and color. I don't think it is worth doing on a car that already has OEM HID although they are much brighter than the TL's reflector HID's.

Now that i see a pic of how a projector light assemble looks, i think it wouldnt be that hard to have a place custom put it into our headlight assembly. The a4's have the reflective look with the prjector there. I think it would be sick on a tl or cl.

Hey maybe for 2003 Acura will use projector style HIDs. So let me get this straight. Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus, and Nissan/Infiniti use Reflective HIDs and BMW, Audi, and Mercedes use Projectors on most of their cars? and the old GMC Envoy has some pretty crazy HIDs also. I dont know if the new ones still have HIDs.

Yes, you are correct. From what I have seen the S2000 and the new NSX are the only Hondas that use Projectors and I am not aware if the NSX's are HID. I'd betmy life on it they are though...

Anyways, I will keep you and everyone updated on my projector project. I hooked them up to my OEM Halogen wiring harness last night and fired them up, they are so bright and colorful...

Cool. Keep us updated... 3rd gen Integras had halogen based projectors; Honda went back to reflectors on the RSX.

You're right. I have 6000K headlights and foglights and they are not blue, but VERY purple. They make other cars with HIDs look yellow. I'm not even kidding. If I pull up side by side with another car their floor pattern looks yellow. LOL.

Oh yeah, forgot about the integras. People with Integras or other cars with OEM Halogen Projectors should really do the OEM HID Projector project since the install would be minimal.

Here is a website with installs.
