tracking the tl wont ruin the tranny. The only threat would be hard downshifting into 2nd. Other than that i wouldnt be scared to track the TL.

Are they even gonna let you race? Down here, you need to be 18.

thats a good lesson for all- CALL tracks before you drive there

More than one person has gotten to a track and found a locked gate---when they should have been open~ arrrrgh

try trailering a car there and finding the track closed...for lack of calling ahead, that'll piss you off

Yeah this place is super ghetto lol its 5 bucks unlimitted runs. but yeah there is no call ahead really because once these people leave the office to go to the track there's no one to answer the phones lol. VERY informal.

That doesn't sound safe at all...Nothing against people from the ghetto, but I dont think I'd wanna run on a "ghettofied" track. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some oil slicks that go un-cleaned.

locate a roadrace track and find out what fun in the TL really is

Stomping the gas is fun for 1000 feet,,,, but 3 miles of constant full throttle full braking and turning effort- with a pro race driver as your personal coach,,
its not 5 bucks but it is cheaper than the lowest speeding ticket- 200-250 bucks

Tip- when you ask other racers at the strip for tips they will always lie to you, leaving out some bit of information or leading you astray
There are many dvd racing lessons available- look on the internet!

the TL is 3600 pounds and takes time getting moving, get the longer distances and you can pull the ricers

$5 for unlimited runs? That's freakin' awesome!!!!!!!

I would be there all day or even just stop by to kill some time. At least you're taking it to the track. I say just go there and check it out, have some fun. Keep us posted. And good luck ::

Track was open today =D
went up around 4:00 stayed til about 1030.
saw everything from 4 wheelers and tuners to pro stock car pullin chutes. had at least 5k people so awesome turn out.
ran 5 times 3 times against my buddies TC, then against mazda 3 speed, and believe it or not a Mitsubishi Gallant VR4 (a real one)
I only lost to the VR4 and my best run was a 9.7 sec even with a bad reaction time.
all in all good day. i have pics to prove my run too......

lol when i first read 9.7 I was like " Is this guy serious? " but then I remembered you ran the 1/8 mile not the 1/4 mile lol

Ive only ran 1/4 so I don't know if thats good or bad. I never looked at my 1/8mile time on the slip.
