I had 9005 Luminics Yellow bulbs in the highs, no HIDs, they are just regular halogen.

And I have 9006 6000k HID kit in my fogs.

I currently have my DRLs disabled because my car looks more aggressive without them on while all the other cars on the road have lights on.

uhhh, i havent got my car inspected since I bought it, only for an emissions test.

I dont think they will care if you have DRLs or not. Its a minor thing.

I actually dont mind it, its a good safety feature I think. and it doesnt look bad on the car. I just wanna swap my yellow bulbs with some white ones to make it a bit cleaner.

in alberta we dont have emissions test or any kind of inspection. only if brought in from another province and wants to be registered here I think. and offcourse US cars and Jap imports have to get inspected.

not sure about Ontario, but in BC i believe you can get ticketed for not having DRL's.

yea I believe you get ticketed here as well for not having them on. if they arent on that means that your headlight is out and you get a ticket for that.
How much would the DRL lightbulb cost in canada? I want to change mine to white so they match with the HID, but I am not sure how to go about it or where si the best place to get them at.

I dont think there is ANY halogen bulb out there that can match the whiteness HIDs because DRLs operate at a lower power output and you will always be dimmer than regular headlights that are on. This is the main reason why I got yellow bulbs, they look more yellow

yea thats fine I wasnt looking for the same brightness, just a color change from yellow to white. strictly for looks since they are always on. I saw some for 50$ at canadian tire, silverstar, would those do the trick? or is there a cheaper option? sorry I dont realy know much on the subject

that sounds fine, but remember, the bulbs that are used for the drl system are also the highbeam bulbs! and yes i think those silverstars from cambodian tire should be ok.

The silverstars are not too white either when operating at DRL output. There are cheaper alternatives, get the bulbs that are covered in blue, these bulbs will yield more a white color you are going for:
