![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Yesterday, I noticed my car slightly vibrates when I was in traffic. Of course, the engine was fully warmed up & I had my AC on. I looked at the RPM gauge and noticed the needle was pointing below 500.
And the needle went up & down several times. I've noticed when AC compressor kicks in, the needle goes over 500 and when it stops, it goes below 500. It felt like it's going to die on me. ![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Has anyone had this problem before?

![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Can somebody confirm where temperature gauge needle supposed to be pointing?
Mine stays little below the middle. Is it normal? I thought it used to be little below that. Is it because of hot weather?
Can somebody post a pic after the engine fully warmed up?
This is how mine looks like when the engine fully warmed up.

Here ya go... Idle does not flux at all.
The only time ive seen idle change was when i unplug the battery for a while to reset the computer. then is goes up and down, while the computer recalibrates the idle. but it goes back to normal after maby 15 minutes.
BTW temp here is 75.

hehehehe his temp gauge says 4 degrees...
btw guys, does removing my battery and plugging it back in recalibrate my idling??? I've been constantly getting a lot of rough idling with the car fully warmed up and the A/C off. Is this normal??? Will removing the battery and plugging it back in possibly cure the problem???

ok first, im obviously stupid. i own this car and still somehow mistook the trip gauge for the temp gauge. please flame me.
second, resetting the comptuer does not recalibrate the idle speed, but the idle will flux up and down for a little while while the sensors recalibrate air flow/fuel mixture. i should have been a litle more specific. my bad.

Mine does the same thing. But after adding some stp fuel cleaner it's back to normal. The dealer says it's carbon build up and $114.00 they can clean it. I went home took off the air cleaner and the tube to the throttle body and with a flash light checked. It was not dirty, so I figure it's the injectors. And after some of that stp it stopped doing it. So you might want to check it your self or pay the dealer to do it. "NOT"

Your temp looks fine...right where it should be. Fuel injector cleaner would be a good idea.
I have an idling problem only in really damp weather, and its intermittent. Once in a while my car will start, skip, and stall. It happens after a good rain. My first thought was "needs a cap and wires" and than my next thought was "i'm a retard" since our vehicles are distributorless.
Its also hard starting twice a year, it cranks and wont fire for a few seconds. Just happend yesterday for the second time in 03. Another try and it fires right up. This is typical of every Honda I have owned since my 90 civic, so that doesn't worry me. i think I may have a weak coil pack, though.
BTW I drive a 2002 TL-S with 67000 miles on it....

if you can afford it, get the full BG treatment done. especially if your after 50,000 miles. you can tottaly tell the difference.
you can buy the BG gas additive in stores, but all 3 components have to be done professionally, as the intake and engine cleaners have to be in a compressed vapor.

Here's what I found out about my RPM needle.
when A/C is ON
While A/C compressor kicks in -> RPM needle at 500
When A/C compressor stops -> RPM needle goes down 500
when A/C is OFF
RPM needle stays at 500, no problem.
