Rough starting

Anyone else have any starting problems with their Type S?
The car is brand new (under 2k Km) and I have noticed it occasionally since getting the car.

It's as though there's not enough fuel for the first 5 seconds or so.

Doesn't seem to matter if the car has sat for 24 hours or 2. Gas tank is full. Happens whether I'm parked in the cooler underground or out in the sunshine all day.

Should I be talking to my dealer?

Help is always appreciated.

I've heard of people switching over to Chevron Gas with that techro stuff. Something was said somewhere on the messageboard about the sulfur content of some other gas being too high, causing hard starts.

Fletch .. i've owned mine since '01 ('02 Type S) .. has done it since the beginning intermittently ...

there is nothing to remedy the issue.. it's not detrimental to the engine .. it's just annoying ... Trust me, I know exactly what you're describing.

I've been getting the same thing....it pissed me off for a while, and I almost went into the dealer for it. It happens about every ten or so starts. Has anyone had this problem and found that changing gasoline brands actually helps?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Seems like it's just one of those little quirks that come with a new vehicle. (insert tranny comment here " ______" ). At least it doesn't seem fatal in any way. Thanks again.

I've only used Shell, and as mentioned above, I also get it about every 10 or so starts.. MUCH LESS now that I have an intake and headers surprisingly .. so I'm assuming it may have something to do w/ the airflow on start.. perhaps something w/ the stock airbox.

I stubbornly insist on using Mobil 93 octane. It doesn't matter how low on gas I am. I keep driving until I find a Mobil station. Every car I've owned has been fed Mobil, and I've never had a problem with it. Not about to switch, either.
