rough noise coming from front end

Having noticed a humming noise from the front end of my 2000 TL and there seems to be loader upon acellaration and lower when I put my foot off the gas. It doesn't coincide with the rpms so Im not worried about the tranny issue. I have also did a search on the site with no avail info. I thought it was the tires but they have been recently replaced a little while ago. Anyone have any ideas?

Is it like a hissing sound? I was wondering the same exact thing. When I am on the highway, and I accelerate, I can hear a whine/hissing sound coming from the engine. It just started happening within the last couple of months. When you let go of the accelerator, it goes away.

Check your AC vaccum valve. My last civic was doing that. You step on the gas, it gives you high pitch hissing. Let go of gas then it goes away. To check, turn off your AC while it's hissing. If it stops, then it's your vaccum valve. They may suggest to flush the system coolant, but it didn't work for me. They had to replace the valve.

In my situation, it happens without the AC. Any other suggestions? I'm not worried about it. I can care less anymore.

It turns out to be the right side but when I picked it up from the dealership couldn't put the caliper that holds the brake pads. I have brembos put on by a aftermarket place. They said the the thread was bald and it would cost 179 dollars to fix. I called the aftermarket place and they told me that they did not do anything. Agghh Im getting the run around so I may just go to the dealership from now on so I don't get this pass the buck service. I had to leave the car overnight and will pick it up today and see what happens.

Actually they were both the wheel bearings and it feel under warranty but I had to buy the calipers...I guess it's better to go with the dealership in the end...even tho they charge you so much you can hold them liable.
