Rotor Bolts
YES, i have searched the forum and all that crap. I have an impact gun, not a slouch, i have plenty of power, i have the phillips screw head, but that sucker wont budge, actually stripped it. I have the gun on the lowest setting, and it just kept coming off, with 3 different head sizes i tried also. I tried a breaker bar also, just slips and strips. Am i down to drilling the screws out? If so, how deep do they go?
This has to be the dumbest idea i have ever seen, it provides nothing for the brakes!!

You need teh "impact screw driver" not a air tool, but one you hit with a hammer. If its striped out you wil just need to drill the head off. You dont need to replace them

screws are about an inch long..
you need a certain type if screw driver.. You are supposed to hammer the end of the screw driver and it unscrews the screw a little every time you hit the end of the driver with the hammer. It like a manual impact driver, and for it to work it it requires a hammer hit to the top.
You don't have to worry about putting the screws back in.. My mechanic said the same thing, the screws are pointless, the caliper and the tire bolts will hold the rotor on. Andtobeeven worse they are a philips screw, change to a Robbie or a Torque screw..the Philips is convient but not for hihgh torque applications.

Yup, thats what happen to mine. I even use the Impact screw driver and it wont even budge. Just the front rotors scews that didnt want to come out. The rear were pretty easy, After I drill it out and got the rotors off, I use a vice grip pliers of whats left to screw and it still wouldn't come out, its like welded to that hub-damn screwy's/
Autozone have them $10

Well if its only $10 to buy it i will. Thanks, we'll see what happens! Oh ya, is there anything special i should know about this car and bleeding the brakes. I mean, already have a dumbass screw in the rotor, anything else "Honda/Acuraish" on brakes being bleed. Will the pump 3 times and open the bleeder valve/ close valve and repeat work?
