I really like that chrome kickplate thing....on the RLs it's there at the bottom of the door jam. Know what I'm talking about? Anyhow, is there anywhere that we can get this Acura kick plate for our cars? Snook?

 

I think you are talking about the door sill plate.....others have expressed an interest in upgrading from the factory black plastic one also. I dont believe there is yet a replacement available.

 

the only one they have out are the ones from japan... it has inspire written on it.....

 

On the RL...are the plates chrome or brushed aluminum?? Personally, I would rather have the aluminum plates over chrome. Chrome is a bit gaudy and scratches show up much easier.

 

I like the Inspire ones, but I think they're too expensive.

Besides the "Inspire" ones being expensive....I would like to have ones that either say "Acura" or "Type S".......it would just be a nice detail touch! Come on, the 20th anniv. edition Maxima SE had those that said "Maxima"...it would be nice to find even aftermarket......Snook?

 

They gotta make the RL nicer the TL-S in some area....heck, other than that, the TL-S kicks the RL's butt in everything!

 

agreed!!!! My dad has a 99 RL and i have everything he has!! Only thing i could think of that he has is the automatic wheel tilt and auto lights. Oh yea and he has a better paint job but i dont think thats worth 15k more than the TLS. Only problem with me have the TLS and my dad having the RL, is that HES STEALS MY CAR, he takes off usally saturday mornings in my car. Its ok cuz hes back before i wake up. .if not then im stuck driving the RL alot. I dont mind still a nice car just not as nice as my TLS!

 

What a problem you have. I dont think I would have any problems driving the RL if my TL was not availiable.

I like the RL, but somthing about driving your OWN car feels much better.. ya know.. when im in my car all the seats are where i like it, and so is my rear view mirror... and my radio, i just dont like things messed around.. damn it, WHATEVER!!

TL door sills are in the works, no info at this time.

Even my Infiniti had it-made in Japan.

 

Noticed the Japan made got the door sill plates and we didn't too! Funny thing is that the RSX is cheaper and made in Japan AND gets door sill plates and MAYBE even better paint job.........who feels a little jipped?

 

850EX is apparently working on aluminum door sills. He'll show us when done.
