alright today i saw something and i wish i had my camera to take a pic of this....i went to the gas station today and see a tw on some nice 19"....i just thought ok nice car but then i noticed something odd the front is an 02-03...but the rear has the lights of a 99-01.....i had seen this car before when it had the stock tails.....it looks like someone did a reverse conversion......has anyone ever seen a conversion like this before....?

 

maybe something was wrong with his tailights and got the 99-01 cheap or something..how knows.

before I but my TL-S I went to Valley Stream and the salesman showed me an 02 type S with navi and 99-01 Tails. I found it odd. Figured maybe it had been in an accident

 

Maybe it is a 99-01 and he was in a rush to do the front end conversion.

 

How do you think the 02-03 bumper would look on a 99-01? I know some molding work would have to be done because of the head lights, but if it was done nicely, do you think it would look good? I want fogs and just love the look of the 02-03 bumper with fogs and the OEM lip kit.

 

yea i think maybe he got rear ended and he didnt care what taillights he used.


but as for reverse conversion. i talked with bravedemon before and he likes the 99-01 front end better and was thinking about a reverse conversion.

 

You dont have to mold anything, you use 02-03 headlights and fenders

thats basically what the Value Sports bumper is, cept nicer

Here are a few of the items i have bought but not all so that you cant figure out all of what im doing.

A bunch of Mandrel bent Pipe, headliner, bumper, paint, bondo, plasticweld, 30' steel braided line. the rest is a secret

 

i have an extremely good idea about what your doing.....but i'll stay quite....little by little you've let things out......through out serveral threads you've made some comments and through some pms as well.....

 

Seems like:

Turbo, sunroof delete, 02/03 bumper modified to fit 99-01 front end, and steel braided line I have no idea..but probably something going from the front of the car to the back..

wasnt it G14 classified? lol rush hour... and i think kris is doing the rear mount turbo... because i know he was really pushing the idea.... if so i cant wait... he;ll have the 6 speed + turbo... we should do a trade my car has type S rims that should even things out lol
