I'll try to find upclose pics later. I might not have any
And yeah, it'll be better and easier if the taillights are not on the car. Just cover up the red part with newspaper, and start spraying light coats until you get the desired shade, and DO NOT touch it until it dries!

Anyone selling a black acrylic plastic cover tail for our TLs, Like the Dodge Durangos and the Mustangs we see on the roads?

Rear Bumper? Why would you want to do that? The tails are easy, all you need to do is remove the trunk lining that covers up the tails, and there are hex screws holding the tails in place, unscrew it and pops comes out the tails.
Has anyone tried using window tint instead of that spray? Just an idea. That way the surface would be smoother and the color would be uniform.

ya...window might be a better idea than the spray, because it's less messy. Does anyone know how i can get the tint onto the taillight?

I've called every tint shop in the area, and they all refuse to put window tint on my tails. They claim that it will not stick at all, because the tails are plastic/polycarbonate. They said window tint film is designed to work only on glass.
I would have thought that as long as it's a smooth surface the film would adhere??
I also went to an auto parts shop and looked for d-i-y film. The packaging also had the same warning label saying that the product is exclusively for glass.
Forgot to mention that I have a 92 Honda Accord which I did tint the turn signal areas with peelable tint spray. It was a real pain to try to get 4 indivual lenses all the same color.. A tint film would be so much nicer.

Can someone tell me where to get this tint spray? I went to pep boys and they surprisingly didnt have it. Also, will the surface be smooth after it dries or will it feel bumby. My brother bought a old civic with spray tinted tail lights and it was bumby as hell. Thanks in advance.
