Transmission is one thing that you need to be worried about. What year is the car? If it's a 2000 or early 2001 it is already out of warranty as far as the transmission goes. What year is the car?
You could drive the car like an eighty-five year old woman, and the transmission will still likely fail at some point. The transmissions in these cars are like glass, and this seems to be a common problem for the members here.

Your best bet is to bring it to an Acura dealership and pay for a full inspection of the entire car. Either now, or at 105k you will need to do the first major service which is quite expenisve depending on who does it. Timing belt/water pump/ spark plug replacement/ coolant flush/check and adjust valves if necessary.
Also run a carfax. If the car has a salvage title the transmission warranty is void. YOu are covered until 109k for the tranny. If the car has a replacement transmisson after 2/05 and the car has been well maintained you should buy the car. I'd try to knock the price down to at least $9,500 considering the upcoming maintence.
Some other minor problem areas
-clock light goes out
-faded b-pillars and outside molding
-seat heaters fail
-warped brake rotors
-broken foglight lens (made of glass)

Any car you really like- call Acura at 1-800-382-2238x5 and give them the VIN number of the car- tell them you want to know its history of repairs, or recalls outstandingf on it-please~
They will know if the trans has been replaced and when- thats the main thing. Many people are not aware of the trans extended warranty and they sell off the car at 80-90k, a month later the trans goes out- and the new owner gets a $4000 freebie!
There are basic test during test drive for the trans- but it can feel good right up to the moment it stops working
Make sure to get a car still covered by warranty or buy Acura's warranty direct for it
As others noted- the front brake rotors warp easily, have the entire brake system looked at.
Its ~$1000-1200 for the 105k miles service, requires water pump timing belt spark plugs valve adjustment and more. Always something to consider is upcoming expense.
Brakes are not cheap- nothing for the TL is cheap
Have a read of the owner manual for whatever year- and make sure all the controls and features work. Things like seat heat operation is different on each side, does the radio/nav say CODE that means the battery was dead or disconnected- if the codes are not written down in the car- uts fun to get them
If you scroll thru the Gen2 thread list you will learn most common probs and fixes.
The TL is NOT an enonobox in town! 19mpg is good, 29 all hiway is normal
Happy Hunting
Always look on the street for private sales too,
cheaper TLs at private dealers are often from out of state- across the country- bought at auction...thats where Acura 800# can help to- with place and date of sale and number of owners etc.

I say depending on where you live, that price is OK if the car is MINT, however you can probably find a lower mileage car. Just today I saw a pretty clean looking silver tl-s 2002 for 10k flat with 70 something thousand on the clock in Brooklyn. Unfortunately I didnt take down the number...
