Question Replacing stock steering wheel...

How hard would it be to replace the stock steering wheel with, say, a wood one? Is it a do-it-yourself job? Thanks,

You'lll want the dealer to do it, else the air bag could explode in your face. They charged me the same price to install my Inspire wheel as they did to install an MDX wheel, $50.

Actually you can get the wheel from Acura that is made for the TL. It's an option starting in 2002. And it's also color specific to match your car. I think it's $540 MSRP.

Again,
go to www.ahmotor.com and they only want $399.40 for the wheel, plus $10 shipping (to MA). Enjoy!

Its the same as the CL wheel except it also comes in crappy bowling ball. It has perforated leather, unlike the Inpsire wheel.

It isn't difficult . I would follow the Helm manual religiously because of the airbag. I wouldn't do it without that book.

PS you need a steering wheel puller and you have to center the cable reel.

here are pics of when I did mine.

Yup! Check the Acura home page and build a 2002 TL and then a 2002 TL-S. you will see the four wheels in interior accessories.
