Replacing my AEM Cold-Air intake filter

I saw the filter on AEM's site for $53.69. I think thats a little high and wanted to know if its just a K&N filter that i can pick up in autozone, etc.... for about half the price. bueller? bueller?

I got a K&N Filter. It works just fine in my 2002 TLS. I got mine for about $40 online, shipped.

From what I've heard the AEM filter is a K&N, maybe I'm wrong
But I know for a fact that most people use a K&N right off the bat, or switch to one eventually. so i say go for it

The aem filter is a K&N. But yes you can (if yours is shot) pick up a new one from K&N or a site that sells them

Since it's a K&N you should also be able to just buy the recharge kit and be able to reuse the filter over and over again. Recharge it every 50K. I was planning on doing mine as well over the weekend.
