Exclamation Replacement bulbs, have searched and still not convinced

I have tried the Piaa bulbs on my car, and they were brighter, but still yellow. I also tried the silverstar bulbs, and now my roomie is using them as I didnt think they were close enough either. Now I have read that the factory bulbs are watts and that the aftermarket ones like the Krypton bulbs are 55 watt for a 9006. They also claim a 4300k temp on them. I also saw some from Hiper Inudustries as well. now the Hiper ones are truly about 4500k and they actually get 80 and 100 watts on a 9006 and 9005. Now my question is am I going to be running into a issue by putting in a 55 watt bulb in the fogs, such as over heating the harness or assembly. Same on the high beams with going with a 100 watt bulb there. I live in north texas where it does get hot in the summer but does get cold in the winter too. I just want a good match, and for something to not go wrong...

The only way you'll get a perfect match is to install HIDs in your fogs... that's it.

I'm not too sure about the wattage issue. Personally I feel it's not safe and I wouldn't anything over stock spec.. however, I'm sure people have and they're OK for now.

I don't think you're going too far out of the stock range though. I have the PIAA Superwhite's in my high beams.. they are 60w with the output of 110w, so it's good enough for me. The CATZ in my fogs are close enough. If those ever blow I'll go with the Silverstars. If I ever have $500 to blow I'll get an HID kit....

I have Eaglite 80W9006 for fogs and Eaglite 100W9005 for highs. I've had them for 6 months and they still burn bright. No signs of burns just yet. Don't worry...if they do damage my harness in ANY way I'll make certain everyone knows about it. I've also installed Eaglite 100/80W9007 on my sister's civic and I'll report about those as well. SO far these are the closest match I've ever seen in person. For $16 a pair, and as long as they don't burn the harness, I think these are the bulbs I'd be sticking with for a while.

Hmmm.... So you've been using the 80w Eaglite's in the fogs for 6 months without a problem? How often do you use the fogs and for how long?

I have those bulbs but hesitate to put them in...

I use the fogs whenever my lights are on. I guess what you meant to say is how often do I drive at night. So far...not very often. Although I've taken it on a 1200 mile round trip...where 400 of it was driven at night.

Blueish, but you can't order off that site. It is wholesale only. You have to find a distributer. I bought mine in Chinatown. I might be opening an acount with MAX, I'll let you know.

those max bulbs are good . I run my fogs whenever when im in the car since i did the foglight mod. I just bought 2 new set of bulbs after class today when i passed by china town. I also use this bulb in my 98 accord also. In the 98 accord the bulbs look like Xeons from far. I recommend these bulbs. I went to the Max site but no purchase info. If anyone interested email me. We can work something out vze32yxf@verizon.net

On those max bulbs on the post. Those look really good. What is a number so that I can contact these guys on them. Also, I was wondering I saw the blue super white xe bulbs which look good. But also the others right below that the bright white premium bulbs. These looked a bit cooler to me as they have that interesting dye on the glass. Are these going to be a better match or are the last ones the DOT super shine white xenon bulbs going to be the best?

Austin at the other acura site has a comparison up between Razo's and the superstar's.

Sun. Oct.13 9:40 am.

I checked the right fog light (easier since I have no CAI filter head to worry about) for signs of abnormal abuse. No signs what so ever on the socket harness...took out the bulb and there was no signs of anything burning on them either.

Just for the record I run 9006 12V 80W Eaglights bought at $15.50 a pair since March of this year. (You can also buy 55W for the same price)

Now I have looked at the eagle lite bulbs, and also the max bulbs of which the max ones seem to look a lot better. I have also seen one guy talk of the Raybrig bulbs that he had to get from japan that were like 5000k in temperature. Now I have done extensive research on the web and every one of these manufacturers when you want to contact them only gives you a email address. I was wondering if you guys had the phone numbers of anyone that deals with these products...
