Question Replace halogen fog lights with HID lights

Has anyone replaced the #9006 halogen bulbs with real HID #9006 bulbs and balasts?

Do the HID conversion kits for the #9006 bulbs replace the #9006 hologen bulbs with #9006 HID bulbs with NO modifications?

If it is as easy as it sounds all as I would have to do is mount the ballasts and inset the HID bulbs into the fog light socket and supply the power for the old fog lights to the new HID balasts?

They are less watts, 35 compared to 55 watts for the hallogens. I don't even think you would need the included relays hooked up?

For $400-$500 bucks it seems like it would be worth it to have fog lights that look like the driving light?

It seems like those PIAA Plasma's don't last very long, 6 months to a year max. Those are almost $100 bucks for the good ones.

What is you imput??

I found an auction on Ebay.

$440 is not bad. Think how many times you could buy those cheap quality PIAA super plasma crap, and finally go out and buy the real thing? Pay a little more and get the real thing that will last along time. Does anyone think one of these kits would fit?

Have you cheked out that guy's website? It's chock full of spelling and grammar mistakes. Looks like a small-timer to me. Caveat Emptor!

Not to stereo-type anyone, when I emailed him it appeared that he may be of foreign decent, Vietnamese? I think his English is broken because he doesn't know the language very well.
