Removing some light swirls...need advice
hey guys,
so I was planning on doing the 3 step process by meguiar's, but instead of using the wax they supply, I wanted to use gold class wax. Anyhow, I started out doing the first step with an orbital polisher. It took me a good 2 hours to get the deeper swirls that I had on the car out. I would say I got 95% of them out, but for me being as nuts as I am...that's not good enough. I want to know if it is possible for me to buy a professional product from meguiar's, that will not only remove the remaining swirls and light scratches, but also provide me with my step 2, or polish for the car? I was considering either their speed glaze, or the swirl free polish. I know a buddy of mine owns a detailing shop that carries all these products, so it's just a matter of me telling him that I need some, and he'll supply me with it. I will be applying the product with an orbital polisher, then removing it by hand using microfiber towels.
Let me know what product you guys suggest.
BTW if I do find a good professional product, then I will also use meguiar's high tech yellow wax to seal everything in. I did the cleaning of the paint today, and fsttyms1, stated to me on the phone that I can simply continue where I left off on the weekend as I will most likely not pick up many contaminants tomorrow while doing my daily commute.
let me know guys.
thanks
BTW I do plan on first washing the car, then drying it, then starting where I left off. Don't worry, I won't be applying a polish with dirt and dust on the car.

ok well I have 2 tubes of meguiar's scratch X sitting right beside me...now that I researched this product, I have another two questions.
On meguiar's website it says that it is ideal to be used by hand, and it will leave the paint with a brilliant shine. Now my questions are...
is it safe to use with a random orbital polisher/waxer??? If yes, than which applicator would I use? I have terry cloth, wool/sheepskin, or a foam applicator...which one will work best if any?
And my second question is...I already used meguiar's paint cleaner (step 1 in the 3 step cleaning process). The car is nice and clean, but needs a polish to give it that wet look, and also a wax to make the paint surface nice and smooth. However, by using Scratch X after the paint cleaner, will I have totally defeated the purpose of the paint cleaner, when in fact I may have to apply a second coat of paint cleaner once the scratch x has been applied...
what I would like to know from someone who has a lot of background knowledge on these products, is whether scratch x could be used in conjunction or in replacement of a paint cleaner. I don't want scratch x to totally mess up what I accomplished today, I simply want it too improve the job that I did today, and then allow me to continue on by applying polish and then wax this weekend.
thanks guyz...you guys rock!!!
