Removing Pin Stripe on FBP or NBP
I'd really like to remove the pin stripe on my car but I'm worried I will be able to tell where the stripes were since they've been on there since '99.
Has anyone with a NBP or FBP car removed them? And if so could you tell a difference in the paint?
Thanks

My opinion is that with the NC sun and your exterior color, you're gonna notice the color difference. Worst case, you could put on new stripes if you notice a problem. It will be easy to apply them since you'll see where the old ones were.
Have you figure out if they are taped stripes or painted on? If painted, you're gonna need to seek professional help to get them off.
Most dealers paint their stripes on.

Mine are definately tape. I've tried to pull up the end of one and it came up very easily. I can see the glue they used and it gets really soft when its hot.
I was hoping someone had done this before so I don't regret doing it. I'd like to avoid putting some back on if it doesn't look good once they are off.

laquer thinner if they are painted on
works great, but on the car since 99 you might see slight marks, they may be able to be buffed out! i took my gold ones off on my taff white 99. when i was done with the whole thing you can't even notice.
