Anybody know if it's possible to remove the IACV without removing the throttle body? figure I'd ask before taking the CAI, VSA, throttle body off

yea it can definitely be done but it will be a PITA especially since its more work with everything on just to take off 2 screws. When replacing mine I tried doing it that way and gave up, much easier and quicker to just take off everything else to get to the IACV.

I would just take everything off. Throttle Body, etc and give it a good cleaning (seafoam or throttle body cleaner) since you have to get to the IACV anyways. Remove all the gunk that has been built-up.

I did it yesterday on labor day: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-problems-fixes-117/02-acura-tl-engine-cutoff-894839/

Pictures on the bottom of the thread.

Id leave the TB attached to the intake manifold and remove the whole upper intake mani and clean the EGR ports and tb at the same time. If you take the TB off you need a new gasket. If you remove the whole intake mani you can reuse the gasket.

Good time to clean everything in the intake track, since you are already going to be in there.
