Remove 3rd brake light on TL-S ????

Getting ready to take my TL-S into the shop to get the tinting done - doing a 30% all around. I want to make sure they take the 3rd light off for the install, and thought I would do it my self.

It looks to be part of the BOSE speaker and need help on removing it.

Thanks for your help.

the dealer had to remove mine (03 t/l-s ) to fix rattle. don't think it's fixed, but thats another story. anyway they kept car most of the day, said it was a pretty involved process according to the service manager.

I wouldn't think it is any big deal - there are a cupple of gray clips in the truck that look like they would release the plastic molding around the speaker and 3rd brake light - might just need to let the folks doing the tinting do it - Scheduled in a hour an a half.

Thanks

my tint guy did it for me..said it was no big deal..just a couple clips or screws ( i have a short attention span).

Dealer says everything is a big deal if they arent gonna make some money on it.

just let the tint guys do it... its not a big job and they have probably done it on numerous cars so they would be alot faster at it...

Had the shop remove it - they said it is easy. Looks like they did a good job - takes awhile to totally dry - 2 weeks - which seems long to me.
