Thumbs up Recaro Seats Are IN!

Finally the Recaro Seats are in the car after waiting a month. It was not easy installing them. I used 98-02 accords brackets which need to be modified and some extra hardware which was custom made to mount them properly. Went for a test drive taking hard turn, they definitly hold you in better than the stock seats.

What does everyone think of them? I know this is a mid luxury car, but i wanted something to hold me in.

That looks great. I'm considering getting Recaros for my TSX. Unfortunately I got the tan interior which will be difficult to match.

With respect to brackets, do you just have to experiment on your own until you find the right fit?

With the Brackets I have to Make some Extra Bends and reshape some of the hinges to make them fit perfectly. Also, I fabricated some bars to make the seat mount on to the brackets.

They match really well. Do you lose the functionality of the electric seat movers?

Nice work on the seats. I like how it looks stock. Someone else on the board did this mod but it was a little too much because it looked out of place.

wow! that looks fantastic! hats off to you man!

about how long did it take to do everything? the only thing i would miss is the heated seats, although maybe you could put pads into the recaros (i honestly have never seen one in person so i wouldn't know).

those seats look real classy, which keeps the theme of the car in my opinion. how much weight would you say you dropped from the original seats? my guess would be 50-80 pounds total.

congrats on a well done mod!

Nice ... I like Recaro better than a lot of other brand seats. Great application and it turned out well, based on your pics.

For cloth you can pick them up for $850~$900 and the Leather are around $1125~$1250 per seat. This setup cost about $2280 for both seats after brackets and some extra fabrication materials.

I missed the heat seats, but summer is comming up, so It's not too bad. The installation took about 5 hours, but that was to make sure everything lined up perfectly. Check and recheck

oh yeah the seats look hot as hell, but for all that money you could have gotten a sick interior put in that car.

Looks good man.. I got Sparco's on mine. I opted non-leather since its too freaking hot in TX. I wanted cloth. The sparco brackets for 98-02 Accord coupe worked perfectly, did not have to modify anything at all.

Yeah, I love your setup, benzo. I've been meaning to ask you details about it. How much were the seats, and how did you wire up the SRS for the side airbags?

Definetly a nice job man... I'm really feeling it looks flushed in well with the regular black leather too. I would go for some carbon fiber (only looks good with black leather IMO) trim next to fill out the sportyness.
