Rear Brakes Idea

Ive been noticing recently that when I brake the front end of the car dives pretty hard and I would like to stop that from happening. Currently I have rotora slotted rotors on the front with hawk hps pads. The rear rotors and pads are still stock.

A friend of mine with a WRX gave me the idea that I should look into getting some bigger rotors on the rear and that might stabalize the car. I know that the wrx guys use the legacy front rotors and a larger backing plate for the calipers on the back of the wrx and for the fronts they use a set of rotoras.

Now what I need to do is first of all find out whether or not this idea will actually work on our cars. Since it is normally harder to find larger aftermarket rotors without getting a bbk I need to figure out which acura/honda has larger front or rear rotors than what I currently have.

If anyone has any comments or suggestions of what rotors to use I would really appreciate. I guess right now I am just thinking out loud and trying to see if this is possible or not!

bigger rotors on the rear wont help that. the dive is due to the suspension and brake proportioning.

Front dive is weight shifting to the front of the car. Check into your front shocks and springs.

it doesnt matter if they are new or not. its the spring and shock rate and suspension geometry. the best way is with stiffer (lower) springs, different shocks and stiffer sways. but you will suffer from a rougher ride.all cars have brake dive. some not as bad as others. ever watch a ENZO brake hard? the nose almost scrapes the ground

The stock springs are fairly soft. When you mash the brakes, all your weight, and momentum is transferred to the front of the car. The biggest rear brakes in the world wont change that. Thats why all cars have bigger brakes up front.

Stiffer springs would get rid of alot of that squat, but you also get better handling, and a stiffer harsher ride.
