rattling woofer (searched)!

ran a search couple of time already, couldn't find a solution to it. it's so annoying once you jack up the volume w/ some bass....

i'v try to stick some soft cloth under it, didn't work i couldn't even locate the exact location of the rattle now w/ all the fustrations

I HEAR YA, i hate that rattling from the stock sub back there, sucks. I tried sticking some thick foam in the underside of the trunk area around there to silence some of that but it did NOTHING. I don't even think it can be silenced really.

The metal on the deck is very thin and the covers are made of some sort of pressed fiber board that resonates like a harmonic tuning fork. This is what I did:

I have a similar rattle, but its comming from the ceiling of the car towards the back, like my lining is loose or something. I tried pressing around the sides to see if it was a loose clip or something. So while we're on the topic, what could I do to make it stop?

He bought Dynomat and covered teh rear deck area. Dynomat is used for sound purposes and helps eliminate rattles and vibrations.

take the cover off and see if you can get more foam tape under it to keep more upward pressure on it to help from rateling

What I did was tapped around on the metal deck and wherever it resonated the most I put down small pieces of matt. After that I put down 3-4 layers of liquid deadener. I also put 4 layers of the liquid stuff on the two covers and plastic center piece. I found that the covers resonated the most.

Not sure what it is, but when I press down in a certain area it stops. How do I get the ceiling lining off? Just work around the edges and it pops off?
