Ran a new best time tonight!

I had a 3/4 full tank of gas and the spare tire, jack and about 40 CD's in the glove box and center holder. The car is bone stock except for the nitrous and the cold air intake. Click on my gallery to see pictures of it installed.

how often do you use your NOS? I really dont know much about how you use the stuff...I mean I know how it works, but not really how to use it, side effects, or how you get it installed?

But sweet times - your ride is one of the fastest on here...the only other one has about all the mods possible except NOS - just proves that NOS is SWEET!

I have an NOS kit with a dry shot into the intake.

What happened to the gallery function? I had a bunch of pictures of the setup. Wonder where they went.

My setup is all run by a MSD controller. With the switches in the cup holder as you can see below, I turn the system on, open the bottle with the remote opener, turn on the bottle warmer and purge the system. I have it configured to come on at 2800 rpms and shut down at 6900 rpms. Its automated, all I have to do is drive. I gate shift, the triptronic shifter is crap.

The only problem we ever had was that the kit initially activated the VSD system even when it was turned off which in turn pulled timing from the engine. This caused a lean condition that could have blown the motor if we had not figured out what the problem was. We had to splice into the coil pack to get a tach signal for the MSD controller and the problem went away.

I've run about 25 bottles full of nitrous and its a 25 lb bottle I have. Each bottle is good for about 10 runs at the track. Thats a TON of nitrous and I have not had a single engine or tranny problem. The whole kit can be pulled off in under an hour with only the trunk liner and cup holder needing to be replaced. I have about $1200 in everything including the AEM intake.

Here are a few pictures of the setup but my ISP is crappy and it will shut down if I exceed my bandwidth.

Off. You never drag race with it on.

Only when I race. Either at the track or when someone squares off against me. I just turn the system on and its automatic.

Does the system activate only at WOT or would it spray at 3500 rpms if you were going up a hill at half or 2/3 throttle? Nice times. You and that guy with the SC should run. I believe he ran a 13.7 or something.

When the system is turned on, its programmed to come on as soon as I hit 2800 rpms regardless of the throttle position.

If your going to use nitrous, you would have the car floored at that point.

Those are great times...and no transmission problems. I wish I could say the same for me. I haven't been as fortunate with the tranny.

No, I'm up in Jax. We just go to Gainesville to race. Maybe I'll catch you at a Wednesday night test and tune...
