Ram Air Mod Completed...

All I did was remove the airbox silencer in the bumper and ran a aluminum ducking tube 3"inch in diameter to the front bumper where I cut out the fake foglight hole. At the bottom of the airbox I use Duct tape to connect the duct pipe to the intake on the bottom of the airbox.

I did notice a diffrence at highway speeds.

here is a pic of the cutout before I ran the ducting.....

I like the concept, but for the love of god please take the bumper off and file down the black and install some meshing or gutter guard grill immediately!

Besides that you might have something going

What would we do without duct tape?

Nice mod!

I was out last nite and I was on the highway with 3 people in the car and a CL (not sure if it was type s) pulled up next to me. We both hit the gas and I am pulling on him strongly. we get to 120mph and I am almost 2 car length in front of him. I am not to worried about water injestion because I live in san diego and in all honestly if i needed to rip it off for any reason it coat about 5 dollars to redo it.

I was thinking about doing the exact same thing, but i wanted the tubing to fully cover the fake fog hole so that nobody could see that ugly silver tubing on the right side. Any ideas. Also, how did you cut the fog light opening? Did you do it by yourself? What tools were used? Thanks

What about this

What would you think about this idea... It might not help much, but anything is better than nothing... Do the same thing on the other side and just run the tube across the inside of the bumper and hoot it into what you already have... I can see this helping in 2 ways...

One, even if it only adds a LITTLE more air and force, something is better than nothing, and Two, it would sure as hell look a lot better have 2 intake tubes so it would be symetrical on the front of the car...

wow

I honestly thought you were kidding with that "finished" picture.

It definitely needs to blend in with the car better than that. It looks really ghetto like that.

Hope it works well for you though.
Good luck!

Just like Arn200TL & thebeginning99 said....do something if you're going to stay like that....

I will give you an "A" for the idea.

but... you get an "F" for execution!

Im hoping that this is "work in progress" mod. You should try to blend it into the fog hole a little better. Some black paint will help.

Wouldn't know since I don't used hair dryers. .

Not a bad Idea, specially since comptech is taking so long to make a Super Charger.

What amuses me is the orange electrical cord running through the engine compartement...LOL ...great picture

I think you should take the silver tubing out and paint it flat black so that it would be hard to notice. Other than that, the idea is fine.

I like the idea of symetrical tubing and painting it black. It's pretty original and with some finishing touches it will look great as well.

Sorry man but that looks horrible.

If you want it to look better, paint all that silver tubing black, inside and out, cut out the other side "fake foglight hole" as you call it. File me both doen with adremel or something to make a smooth edge unlike the one now that loosk kind of ratty, Then use some mesh or something like that on both sides. so you never have to see the tube. That would look 100x better.

I totally agree with the mesh to cover up the fog light holes. It wouldn't restrict the air flow and it would totally hide that ugly silver tubing!

I am not COMPLETELY done!!!!!

I agree it is lacking on the looks but for the time being I will livewith it. I am looking a couple diffrent options to finishing it. All I know is it pulls like a B!tch anything over 40 mph. I really noticed a diffrence when I spanked the a$$ of a CL on the highway.I do plan to recess it more in the bumper, paint it black and even make it more efficent by using the entire bumper hole as a funnel for even more air.
