Raced CL Type S

Yesterday on the NJ Garden State Parkway I raced a CL-S and I beat it. He pulled up to me 3 times and all times I pulled. One time he counted down and jumped before me and I still passed him. We probably started at like 70. Aren't the CL-S faster than the TL-S. It might of been that there were 3 people in the car and he had pretty big rims. I think 19s but still I was expecting him to pull without a problem.

cl-s automatic is 3510 lbs.

tl-s automatic is 3558 lbs.

so its practically the same car and the only difference was that he had 3 people in the car........thats like 400lbs more.

Actual weight of the CL-S is 3440 for the auto. That is what mine weighs.

ive raced a cl-S 6 speed b4 with one passenger in my car and the cl-s had the advantage on me. I might have stayed even with him if i had shifted down to third

This is why you won.

But if it was just him then it would've been a driver's race or whoever got the jump first.

Unless you removed something from your car, then it won't be 3440 lbs.

Check http://www.acura.com/models/model_sp....asp?module=cl, it says:

Curb Weight

CL:
3470 lbs (1574 kg)

CL-S:
Automatic: 3510 lbs (1592 kg)
Manual 3446 lbs (1563 kg)

Nothing was removed Sorry. That is what the car scales at. Mine and another guy weighed ours at a different track and both were the same.

I've heard of both TLs and CLs weighing in at less than Acura's claim of 3550. These weigh ins all seem to take place at the track.
